Your missions

Hi, I'm Christina, Recruitment and Business Development Consultant with Fed Finance, a recruitment agency specializing in finance and accounting. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area.
Our team of finance experts speaks your language and works in your environment. We cover the finance, accounting and payroll professions.

I'm looking for a Financial Controller for my client in the Ouest of Montreal, in Dorval. This is a permanent hybrid position (3 days on-site, 2 days remote).

Your responsibilities:
- Supervise the accounting team.
- Support strategic plans and ensure objectives are met.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including cash verification, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, inventory and fixed assets.
- Liaise with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable shared services teams and relevant departments.
- Manage month and year-end closing processes and validate accuracy of financial reports.
- Analyze financial results and provide explanations for variances from budgets and forecasts.
- Compile, analyze and communicate all reports to senior management.
- Manage forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring that financial projections are consistent with strategic objectives.
- Develop and manage internal financial controls in place and promote accountability and compliance within the business unit.
- Manage all internal and external audits in accordance with accounting procedures and standards.
- Manage statutory reporting and compliance.
- Participate in special projects.

Your profile

- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting with CPA designation.
- 5 years accounting experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Self-starter, deadline-driven, results-oriented and efficient.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and make decisions in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Committed, collaborative and flexible.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency in Excel.
- General knowledge of ERP systems (Navision - an asset).
- Excellent communication skills in French and English.
